Basic Stewarding course

7 Sittingbourne cadets were joined by 2 Maidstone cadets for a Basic Stewarding course.

After leaning how to set the table - A Cover they added one of the 4 napkin folds they had learnt.

A quick practice on Silver Service before heading to the galley to cook a full roast dinner.

Which was then served to the Unit Chairman, Assessor and supervising instructors, demonstrating their newly acquired silver service skills. Yum, Yum! Don't worry there was more than enough for the cadets to have lunch too.

The Unit Band led this years Sittingbourne Carnival on Saturday 20th June.

They treated the crowds to a range of tunes along the route and through the high street.

Cadets, staff and Juniors that were not involved in the band also took part, walking alongside a towed topper sailing boat, handing out leaflets to potential new recruits.

Back at the unit after the Carnival, where Cadets, Volunteers, Parents, Friends and Supporters enjoyed a social BBQ.
