TS Sheffield Junior Cadets Xmas Shoe-box Donations

On Saturday, C24 Junior Division (10-12yrs) of Sheffield Sea Cadets were in the City, walking from the unit to Sheffield Cathedral. The visit was to donate our shoe-boxes to the Archer Project, supporting the homeless. Our Juniors have been making the boxes, containing useful items such as wooley hats and gloves.
After the tour at the Sheffield Archer Project was a chance to see the Cathedral itself, with its memorials to the HMS Sheffield Ships from which our Unit takes its name. Well done Juniors, its community work like this which we have been awarded the Community Trophy Award (Eastern Area) for!

Remembrance Service - High Bradfield

As part of a weekend of remembrance, last night Petty Officers Ford-Mitchell and Smith attended High Bradfield's service with a selection of cadets from TS Sheffield.
Inside, reservist Michelle gave a talk about being awarded the Queen's Volunteer Reserves Medal, handed to only 13 reservists every year for exemplary conduct.
The church was beautifully lit up with a huge projection of a poppy field. Which can be seen across the valley.
Thanks to everyone who came, and to all in the country who are remembering the sacrifices paid by the Armed Forces at this time.
