Captain of the Corps visits Ruislip Unit

Captain of the Sea Cadet Corps Phil Russell, RN made an informal visit to Ruislip Sea Cadet HQ based in Cordingley Road after the building re-opened in November (2016)  following major repairs to the flooring. Some two thirds of the Unit premises were flooded in the exceptionally heavy rain that fell on the evening of 23 June and since then the cadets had been meeting in church halls in both Ruislip Manor and Ickenham.

Captain Russell also presented Ruislip’s annual efficiency award - a burgee -  indicating that the Unit achieved a mark of over 75%. The Unit’s Royal Navy Parade took place just a week before the flooding
