Nine Ruislip Junior Cadets took part in the London Area Sea Cadets round of the Honda Rib Challenge at the Welsh Harp Boat Station on Saturday, 28 April. All had completed power boat training several weeks earlier gaining the RYA power boat Level 1 qualification. They had a great time and our Juniors took the top three places for Juniors across the area taking part. The attached photo shows the three winners with their medals. The overall winner will go forward to represent London Area Sea Cadets in the regional semi-finals.

Area Football Success
London Area's Western District achieved great success at the London Area 5-a-side Football Competition held on Sunday, 28 January, 2018 in Wallington, Surrey.
Western District came first in Senior Boys and Junior Girls, 2nd in Senior Girls and Junior Boys and 3rd in Juniors. The Junior Team was from Ruislip Unit (who had won the District Competition a fortnight earlier), while two Ruislip Royal Marine cadets were part of the victorious Senior Boys team along with Cadets from Chiswick Unit.

Cadet Sgt Greg is District Cadet of the Year
Cadet Sgt Greg from Ruislip Sea Cadets' Royal Marine Cadet detachment has been made London Area's Western District Cadet of the Year for 2017.
At an award ceremony in front of the whole ship's company at TS Pelican on Monday, 15 January, outgoing District Officer Lt Cdr (SCC) Karen Fulton presented Cadet Sgt Greg with the trophy. The new Western District Officer, Lt Cdr (SCC) Carl Lever, was also in attendance.
In making the prestigious award (pictured) Lt Cdr (SCC) Fulton paid tribute to the Cadet Sergeant's achievements over the previous year, which included a spell on TS Royalist as part of the winning Tall Ships race, and his work to improve the Unit's Royal Marine Cadet detachment
Ruislip Cadet is Under 12 player of the tournament
Junior Cadet Josh won the player of the tournament trophy for Junior Cadets at the London Area Western District 5-a-Side Football Competition held at Goals in South Ruislip on Sunday, 14 January.
Josh's prowess helped Ruislip Junior Cadets win through to the London Area Competition for the 3rd year in a row.

Success at 5-a-side Football
For the third year in a row, Ruislip Junior Cadets won the London Western District 5-a-side Football Competition, held this year at Goals in South Ruislip on Sunday, 14 January, 2018.
Ruislip Sea Cadets entered 4 teams: Under 12s (Junior Cadets), Junior Boys, Junior Girls and Senior Boys. The Junior Boys, Junior Girls and Senior Boys all came runners-up in their respective competitions but it was the Junior Cadets who won through to the London Area competition which is being held at Wallington in Surrey on Sunday, 28 January.
