The Mayor And Mayoress Visited TS Repulse.

On Wednesday 5th March our cadets were honoured by a visit from the Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham. They visited all the classrooms and were very interested in the kinds of lessons and activities our cadets participate in. The Mayor and Mayoress watched as the cadets did colours and were introduced to all the cadets. They were also treated to a demonstration of the Colour Party drill which some cadets ( PO cadet Beasley, PO cadet Collins, France, Micklethwaite and Smelt ) last performed at the Area Drill Competition. The Mayor and Mayoress also prescented many awards to various cadets. A good night had by ALL!

The Brilliant Start To 2014 Continues.

Following Rotherham Sea Cadet's success back in December 2013 at the District Drill Competition, Rotherham took part in the Area Drill Competition on the 25th January down in Newark where they took on teams from Cambridge, Scarborough, Worksop, Lincoln and many more. Rotherham came second. Absolutely Fantastic, we only came second to the team that won last year Cambridge.

Well done to all the team but especially to the three cadets who attended for the very first time. We all know how daunting it is to know that everyone is relying on you and all three came through brilliantly!

A fantastic team effort of early saturday morning practices as well as drill nights. All that hard work has definately paid off. What a brilliant performance! we are so proud of them all!
