Colour Run 2017

On Sunday the 16th of July 2017 our Cadets Volunteered to help as marshals for the Colour Run in Pwllheli raising funds for St David's Hospice. and even more getting to throw paint at the runners.

To see more pictures of what fun we had on the day have a look in our gallery under Events, or on our Facebook page at Pwllheli & Pen Llyn Sea Cadets

Pwllheli & Pen Llyn to go on T.S. John Jerwood

During the Easter Holidays in March next year, we have 12 spaces booked for us on T.S John Jerwood.

Any cadet can go, as long as you are 12 on the day we go.

Cost to each cadet will be £50 for the week.

The trip will start and finish in Gosport. Part of the week will be spent visiting different ports in the Solent, visiting places like Cowes on the Isle of Wight and Yarmouth, and weather dependant we may go further afield to places like Poole or even Weymouth.

If any cadet wishes to go, please add your names to the list up in the unit. The places will go on a first come, first serve basis, which will work by receiving the £50. If you have any questions, please get in touch with PO Jones (Sammo), by either messaging this page, calling 07486509292 or by completing the contact form on this website.

Thanks

Unit Review Preperation has begun

Every other year the unit is inspected by the Area Officer for our Royal Naval Parade, this year we are not being inspected by the Area Officer, but by the District Officer for North Wales, Lt Cdr (SCC) C Jones RNR (Pictured)

Our Royal Naval Parade with the Area Officer will be next year.

In preparation for our Unit Review with the District Officer this coming March, the whole unit to include Staff, Instructors, Cadets and Juniors are working hard, in ensuring our uniforms and the unit is up to standard, as well as preparing presentations for the District Officer and Cadets parents who will be present on the night.

Challenge Wales

On Monday the 4th of May, the Challenge Wales Sailing Yacht arrived in Pwllheli with 10 local children aboard, who were sponsored to sail her to Pwllheli by local companies and businesses, and wee were there to Greet them.

This evening Wednesday the 6th May, we were invited aboard for a tour and hear about the history of the Yacht and see some clips of the various trips she's done.
