Promotion feb20

A fine Ships Company. Really proud to be part of it. Taking the Sea Cadet Promise is a big thing, and each and every New Entry sounded like they meant it. If they do their best to keep it as Cadets, and the Cadet First Classes continue to remember it - and develop their leadership and set good examples, there is absolutely no reason why they should not all have long and rewarding membership of the Corps and the Unit. I look forward to next year now, when we should be promoting New Entries to Cadet, Cadets to First Class and Cadet First Classes to Ordinary Cadet!

Inmarsat

Inmarsat

What a fantastic day spent exploring the INMARSAT headquarters and Operations centre yesterday!!!!! Thanks so much to Sarah Ives and her team for giving up their Saturday to provide a full, interactive and interesting day. The Ship simulator was really realistic, and even made people queasy.
We had 16 cadets plus S/Lt Eaton and PPO Ward. Photo album can be found at this link.

Royal Engineers

Great day at the Royal Engineers Museum. Well done to all the cadets for taking a full and active part in all the activities, and paying attention to all the information. Thanks to Amber Cottee from the Museum who facilitated the Bridge building and Rocket science sessions! Cadet Harry had the most successful rocket as it hit the ceiling!

Visit to HMS Medway

Visit to HMS Medway

20 Staff and Cadets from TS TEMERAIRE were lucky enough to have a tour of HMS Medway on Sunday 22nd September as part of the Commissioning ceremonies for the brand new Patrol Boat.
The cadets listened and talked to various members of the crew and found out about life in the Royal Navy.
