Silver Medalists Sea Cadets Sailing Nationals 2022

Mansfield Cadets finish runners up in the RS Quest Class at the National Sailing Regatta September 2022, representing Eastern Area.   After a hard fought series of races with individual race placings including a 1st and a 2nd as well as one race with a capsize, our cadets finished in the silver medal position overall.    A fantastic achievement against the best Sea Cadet sailors in the UK, seen here being presented with their medals.    Well done!

Sea Cadet Sailing Nationals 2022

Mansfield Cadets representing Eastern Area at the 2022 National Sailing Regatta at Southport.    Pictured after two days of hard racing on Southport Marine Lake.    Sailing in the RS Quest Open class and the Pico Open Class.   One of these sailors only started sailing at the beginning of the 2021 sailing season, a fantastic achievement to finish mid fleet amongst the best cadet sailors from all over the UK, well done!

Mansfield Cadets at National Powerboating

Mansfield Cadets representing Eastern Area at the National Powerboat Handling competition at the ExCeL Centre, London, August 2022.    A well deserved Bronze medal finish!    The powerboat handling competition involves the teams going through a series of manoeuvres in a highly controlled manner, with their every move being scrutinised by a team of judges.

Mansfield retain Area Powerboating trophy

Mansfield's powerboat handling team retained their title in 2022 with an impressive performance.    Well done!   The competition involves performing a series of manoeuvres under scrutiny.    The team is pictured receiving the trophy again from the Area Officer at Thrapston.
