A huge contragulations to Able Cadet Joe who represented Severn District in the Southwest Area Drill and Piping Competition at HMS Raleigh, where he won Silver and Bronze in team and individual piping.

THE TROW RETURNS TO HEREFORD

 

Well Done AC T Goodman and PO Conor Tarring.  Today Hereford Sea Cadets have helped the Trow come back to the River Wye. 

With Seamanship and Boat work skills the Trow Committee was supported by members of the unit.  We look forward to the River Carnival on Saturday where again cadets and staff will take part.

On Thursday 13th September TS Antelope held the Commissioning Ceremony for their new headquarters on the banks of the River Wye,

From knocking down the old unit in February 2011 it only took 19 months to raise enough money to ensure all three phazes were completed to enable the official opening to take place.

 

Total funds raised during this period was £240,000 through major fund raising, grant applications and generous donations from a benefactor

 

The unit was officailly opened by Mr Clive Richards OBE DL in the presence of the Hifh Sheriff of Hereford -  Lt Col ThwaitesNew HQ

Thanks to a generous donation from Hereford Rotary we now have our own power boat - The RegiFlex boat was named "Clemie" by our cadets.

Many thansk to the rotary for this generous gift which will allow further RYA Power Boating qualifications to be acheived!

Commissioning and Dedication for new Headquarters

Commissioning and Dedication for new Headquarters

We will be holding the Commissioning and Dedication for the new Head Quarters on Thursday 13th September 2012.  This evening will celebrate the official opening of the new headquarters which will also be available to the local community to hire. 

The building will be open to the wider community of Herefordshire particularly those living within the ward of St Nicholas.  If you would like to find out more information about hiring our brand new building please contact us via our contact form.
