Basic Catering, Feb 2014

Harrow unit ran their first Catering course for the cadets this year. The course ran over several weeks and included basic hygiene, food preparation, Galley safety and knife safety.

The cadets all made some extremely good Savoury and Sweet products throughout the duration of the course, that went down very well with all the staff "YUM YUM"

Once again Harrow boys and girls took to the water, this time during the February half term week.

The cadets spent several days taking to their boats logging up there hours spent as crew members and coxswains, this time is recorded into their RYA log books and shall help them towards their next sailing qualification.

On Saturday the 15th of February cadets from the unit took to the water on The Welsh Harp reservoir in West Hendon, Although the weather was a little choppy the cadets had a great time learning to row.

London Area 5-a-side football competition, Jan...

On the 26th of January Western District, comprising of Harrow, Ruislip and Chiswick cadet's, took part in the London Area Competition.

The Cadets all played extremely well to successfully beat all the other Districts in London Area to take first place, this has now put the team into the National competition.

On Saturday the 18th of January Harrow Cadets under 15s and over 15s and a Junoir cadet took part in the District five a-side competition held at RAF Northolt.

The under 15s team came second in the competition along with the Junior cadet who took part in a mixed team which also came second, and the two Senior cadets enterd a mixed team with cadets from Chiswick unit and came first overal.

The Senior boys are now looking forward to the next competition which will be the London Area competition.
