At Connahs Quay we aim to give young people an experience that will help them grow into the person they want to be in a safe and friendly environment. Through various activities and adventures, we learn teamwork, respect, loyalty, self-confidence, commitment, self-discipline, honesty and how to be the best version of ourselves.

We offer a range of different activities from sailing, windsurfing and powerboating - to rock climbing, camping, and music - plus, so much more! At Connahs Quay you are also able to gain different qualifications that you can take with you once you leave Sea Cadets!

TS Tucsan is a thriving Sea Cadet unit dedicated to supporting young people in developing confidence, resilience, and valuable life skills within a safe and inclusive environment. As part of the Sea Cadets organisation, we offer a unique blend of nautical training, adventure, and community engagement, helping cadets grow both personally and socially.
At TS Tucsan, cadets take part in a wide range of activities including boating, seamanship, navigation, fieldcraft, and leadership training. Alongside these opportunities, we actively promote teamwork, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility—qualities that benefit our cadets throughout their lives.
We are proud to be a leading unit within the district for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, consistently supporting cadets to achieve their Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards through a strong and well-established programme of adventure, volunteering, and personal development.
Our experienced team of dedicated volunteers provides guidance, encouragement, and mentorship, ensuring every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Whether on the water, in the classroom, or supporting community events, TS Tucsan continues to play an active role in shaping confident, capable, and community-minded individuals.
