Remembrance Sunday 2017

Remembrance Sunday 2017

I would like to extend my thanks to all cadets that attend a very cold but enjoyable remembrance Sunday event. I have to give an extra special thanks to CFC Kian & CDT Leo who presented themselves and the unit in true Courageous fashion and laid the wreaths at the war memorial.

Keep Vauxhall Tidy Campaign

Keep Vauxhall Tidy Campaign

It was lovely to see so many children from the Vauxhall Avenue area taking part in a competition to design a 'Keep Vauxhall Tidy' poster. Vauxhall Field has made headlines recently for the volume of flytipping that has been found there. This project was launched in response to these problems and was coordinated by a team involving Northgate councillors, All Saints Church, Canterbury Sea Cadets and East Kent Housing.

Well Done to JSFC Nathan for winning his age category and CFC Alex for coming runner up! JSFC Nathan is having his winning poster made up into a sign to display around the Vauxhall ball court area.

Being part of local community plays a big part of being part of the Sea Cadets.

Area Award Winners 2016

Area Award Winners 2016

I would like to congratulate the Cadets and Adult Volunteers of Canterbury Sea Cadets for their hard work over 2016. This has lead us to receive the The featherstonehaugh Trophy for 2016, this is for the most improved delivery of the Cadet Experience. We now look to 2017 and set our target high however this needs you (the Cadets) to get out there and utilise the opportunities that the Sea Cadets had to offer!
