Cadet Band Strides Out For St George's Day

After just three months of training, cadets and adult volunteers took to the streets of Bridgwater today, Sunday 21 April 2013, for their debut parade.

Supporting the Scout Association's annual St George's Day parade, the band led around 400 scouts and their leaders from the former Splash car park through Bridgwater Town Centre and on to St Mary's Church.

Speaking shortly after the parade the Bandmaster, Unit Vice Chairman Sean Thompson, said,"The band did incredibly well for their first run out.  After training for an average of 15 hours in total to put on a display like that is extraordinary."

Selected images from the parade are available in the Picture Gallery: look under Parade.
