Bolton Sea Cadets would like to thank our Area Business Manager Peter Hopkins, Commander Mark Irwin and the team at The Northwest Sea Cadet HQ for their generous donation. They have agreed to give our unit £10,000 towards the cost of repairs to the roof at the unit. Since we have taken over the lease, we have responsibility for repairs and renovation of the building, for the duration of the lease. We estimate that the cost over the next few years could be in excess of £250.000.This is a fantastic start to our building fund.

Bolton Sea Cadets were at Sainsbury’s on Saturday 13th September 2014, along with The Mayor of Bolton and his Mayoresses, to welcome the cyclists from Sainsbury’s fund raising tour of stores. Each store has sponsored a member of staff from their store to cycle between the stores. Chris is the cyclist representing Bolton. The race started in Scotland but on Saturday the cyclists had come from Sainsbury’s in Darwen.
