Thursday 27th June will be our last night before the holiday season. Cadets doing courses etc are reminded to get their T1 Cards before leaving on Thursday night. The Unit will reopen on Thursday 18th July. Have a great break everyone.
Summer Closure
Adventures
It's the time of the year when our cadets get really busy, busy having lots of fun! Over the next couple of weeks, cadets from TS Formidable will disperse around the Kingdom. We have cadets going to Scotland on a summer camp with Carrickfergus Unit. More cadets travelling to Scotland to one of our Offshore Power vessels, TS Jack Petchey, to travel from Oban to Inverness. Cadet Sgt Taylor will be heading to London and then Plymouth to act as an escort to cadets travelling from around the world to attend the International Sea Cadet Exchange Camp. Locally, we have cadets going to the Northern Ireland Sea Cadet Corps summer camp for a week. And finally, one instructor and two senior cadets will be heading to Weymouth to begin their Trainee Instructors Course for sailing.
As you can see, life in the Sea Cadets is always busy, and fun. We hope all our cadets have an enjoyable course/camp which ever they have chosen.
Adult Volunteers
TS Formidable are currently recruiting Adult Volunteers. We are looking for people with experience of engineering, seamanship and indeed no experience. If you are interested, why not get involved, just follow the link under adult volunteers?
