Northern Ireland Rowing Regatta

Sunday 4th June saw the Northern Ireland Rowing Regatta take place.

This regatta sees all the units in Northern Ireland coming together for some friendly competition with the winners securing a place for the Combined Regatta held in London in September.

Belfast Eagle showed a tremendous performance with our Senior Boys securing a successful and undisputed win, with about a 50m lead and the Senior Girls just missing out on first place to Bangor Girls.

The effort and dedication the cadets put into training for this regatta was remarkable and we are very proud of all the cadets who took part in this competition.

HM Royal Marines Band (Scotland) Concert

On Monday 15th May, Alexandra Presbyterian Church hosted a 'world class' concert by HM Royal Marines Band (Scotland) under the direction of Captain Matt Weites RM and WO2 Michael Robinson RM. The programme of popular classics, Big Band, contemporary works and solo features kept the distinguished audience captivated throughout the evening.

As top unit in Northern Ireland, Belfast Eagle were invited to enjoy this concert along with Cadets from Carrickfergus Unit. All cadets ably assisted the proceedings and were complimented on their smart dress, exemplary behaviour and 'good humour' by many. These compliments about our cadets are no shock to us and we pride ourselves on this. BZ to all.
