First Aid Training put to the test.... -...

Whilst out at the cinema with a group of friends earlier this year, the First Aid training learnt by Cadet Cpl Rohann Pearce through Sea Cadets was put to the test...   At the end of an enjoyable evening as they were getting ready to leave Cadet Cpl Pearce noticed a gentleman had collapsed at the entrance to the toilets, she spoke to another gentleman who appeared to be trying to help the collapsed man as he had not been put into the correct recovery position. The gentleman didn’t know what to do so Rohann got down on the floor to help and moved the man who was initially unconscious, into the correct recovery position. Whilst Rohann was looking after the man, he partially regained consciousness, vomited and then drifted in and out of consciousness until the paramedics arrived.

This demonstration of how Rohann’s first aid training via cadets just kicked in – A great example of how even the basic of First Aid skills really can make a difference to someone's life. Well Done Cadet Corporal Pearce you truly are a great example to everyone!
