Beating the Retreat - Dundee City Centre

Around 130 members of the Sea Cadets, Army Cadets, Air Cadets and Boys' Brigade came together on Thursday 9th April 2015 to perform a Beating the Retreat to mark the close of a week long camp at Barry Buddon. The event was attended by numerous VIPs including Lord Provost of Dundee, Bob Duncan.

Beginners Band Weekend

Beginners Band Weekend

Cadets from Fife & Tayside District took part in a Beginners Band Weekend at Dundee Sea Cadets over the weekend of 29th – 31st August 2014. The cadets were given the opportunity to try a variety of instruments including side drum, bass drum, cymbals, bell lyre and bugle. An enjoyable weekend was had by all. 

District Drill Weekend

District Drill Weekend

The weekend of 15th-17th November 2013 saw cadets from Fife and Tayside District take part in the first drill training weekend of this season. The weekend which was held at RM Condor was attended by both experienced and new cadets. The standard of drill was impressively high for the first training weekend. With a few more weekends planned in the near future it is hoped that the district will have a good team to put forward to the Area competition which will be held at Redford Barracks in April of 2014.

Remembrance Weekend 2013

Remembrance Weekend 2013

Remembrance weekend is always a busy weekend for the ships company of TS Arbroath. On Saturday 9th November Cadets and Staff took to the High Street of Arbroath to sell poppies in aid of Poppy Scotland. The unit then took part in the towns Remembrance Parade on Sunday which involves a Remembrance Service held at the cenotaph followed by a parade, led by the Royal British Legion Pipe Band, back to the Legions Club Rooms in Helen Street.
