In recognition of the International Day for Women in Maritime, we take pride in showcasing the female members of our offshore fleet who each play a pivotal role in delivering the Sea Cadets Experience. Did you know that three of the five commanding officer positions within our fleet are delivered by female officers?
Our flagship, TS Royalist, is captained by Lt Cdr (SCC) Angela Morris RNR. A highly experienced sail trainer, she acts as a role model, inspiring the next generation of seafarers. Skippers for TS Sir Stelios and TS City of London are commanded by SLt (SCC) Jo Coomber RNR and SLt (SCC) Zoe Longley RNR respectively. In fact, women now represent 50% of the permanent crew members which operate at sea for our charity!

The International Day of Women in Maritime serves as an important reminder of the significant strides made within an industry, which has traditionally been seen as a male-dominated environment. We take pride in demonstrating our drive to foster inclusivity and diversity within the maritime community, particularly in inspiring the next generation of seafarers! Please join us in celebrating the achievements of women in maritime and in championing for greater opportunities for female participation in the field.
