our work

We're a national youth charity offering 14,000, 10 to 18 year olds life-changing nautical adventure based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy. On offer are qualifications  from BTEC to RYA accredited courses, which help build skills and confidence and lay foundations for future success in whatever career they choose.

We are supported by 9,000 volunteers who make a huge community investment, committing on average 803,400  hours a year, or the equivalent of £11,722,100*.

*calculated on minimum wage of £6.50 21yrs plus

We raised £4.8 million in 48 months to replace the old flagship.  It's the pinnacle of the Sea Cadet experience and offers up to 900 cadets each year a life changing voyage. We work hard to ensure a voyage is available to all cadets regardless of income by providing bursaries to the hardest hit economically.
