Our new classroom is well underway and we are so excited for it to be completed.
After a sudden loss in our last minibus, the Unit issued a project of fundraising £10,000.00 towards replacing it.
Following donations from local businesses and organisation, over £2,500.00 was raised before Christmas (since September) and then over £2,100.00 was raised thanks to the incredible donations from the customers who went to Tesco over the 21st and 22nd December!
The Milford Haven Town Council, then gave a precept grant of £5,000.00 as a one off big donation towards the cause. Which has allowed the dream to become reality. Thanks to other donations, the project was complete and the minibus was secured through RFCA Wales and is now being utilised by the Cadets.
Thank you everyone!
We are delighted to inform you that the Big Lottery Fund has awarded us the maximum grant of £5,000.00 towards phase one of our classroom furniture refurbishment project.
This funding, which has been awarded through the Awards of All category will allow us to purchase one new computer (ready for phase two) and also replace all of our classroom tables. The new tables will be stronger and be able to fold for easy storage as well.
Thank you so much!
One of our ex POC's, and now former Petty Officer (SCC) has passed his basic training at HMS Raleigh and passed out into the Royal Navy.
His basic training was 10 weeks long and what a fantastic achievement for him!
We are all very proud of you Tomas and we wish you all the best for your new career.
We are also glad to say that he is staying on with us as a Civilian Instructor (SCC) and we will see him when he is on leave.
At the latest annual Milford Haven Carnival, organised by the Round Table - Milford Haven Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets take home the silverware.
We went as a Pirates of the Caribbean.
In our float category, we were 2nd! BUT, we won the Best Float Spirit in the Carnival for 2015!
Thank you very much to the parents who supported us in ensuring this went ahead!
