GDPR News

GDPR News

On 25th May 2018, New General data Protection regulations (GDPR) come into force.

In order for Worthing Sea Cadets to ensure we meet the necesasry requirements concerning the control of personal Data, we require to obtain signed written consent from all those associated with the Unit - Cadets, Adult Volunteers and Parents.

Overe the next week or so, forms will be circulated to all members of the Unit to sign.

These forms outline the requirements of GDPR, and allow individuals the opportunity to tick boxes to enable the Unit to contact individuals by Email, Telephone, post and Text, and also give the Unit consent to hold personal Data securely for the purpose of administrating the unit, and enabling Cadets to attend courses and outside events.

Individuals retain the right to withdraw consent at any time, and have such personal deleted.  The data is only held in a secure system, and will not be communicated to any person or organisation outside the Sea Cadets/MSSC.

Without this consent, we will be unable to make contact and keep everyoner informed.

Your assitance in completeing and returning the consent forms as soon as possible once they are received will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
