CdtCpl Marshall is the new Lord Lieutenants Cadet!

April saw the investiture of the Lord Lieutenants Cadet for Staffordshire. After a busy couple of years for Cdt Cpl Marshall, he was nominated and selected to represent the Sea Cadets and the Royal Marines Cadets as the Lord Lieutenants Cadet for Staffordshire.

CdtCpl Marshall has completed many activities within the unit as well as at a district and area level and his nomination was very much deserved! We all look forward to seeing the different events he gets to attend as part of his duties.

Unit recieves new Trinity

We have now taken delivery of our very own Trinity 500 rowing boat, thanks to a grant from the Peoples Postcode lottery. Our first lieutenant applied for, and was successful in getting us a grant to purchase our own Trinity, now meaning we do not have to travel the hour each way to our district boating station!

Over the past 12 months, the 1st Lieutenant has successfully completed her rowing instructors qualification along with 3 of our senior cadets achieving their rowing coxswains qualifications, this has meant we can use our own sailing club for the advancement of our units rowing!
