Unit repairs are underway

We have officially been granted 24-hour access to the unit.  The XO, DC, and UTO started the mamouth task of sorting through all the stuff left behind by the school 

There is a lot of excess wood, metal and rubbish left on out main deck.  If any one would like to volunteer to help us clear through the mess please do get in touch.  We know we have a long way a head but it will be worth it in the end when we can welcome our cadets back through the door into an welcoming and safe enviroment where they can learn and build on there skills.

Pennant Award

It is with great pleasure the OIC can announce to both the cadets and staff of TS Queen Elizabeth  that after this years inspection by the Area Officer Commander De La Mare RN we have been awarded with a pennant.

BTEC Qualification

We not only teach our cadets about the history and traditions of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.  They can also gain civilian recognised qualifications that will help them in adult life.  

Tonight the cadets aged 16 and older completed there Level 2 BTEC qualification.  The level 2 BTEQ is the equivelant to GCSE.  Cadets automatically gain the Level 1 BTEC when they reach the rank of ordinary cadet or cadet Lance Corporal.

Remembering the fallen

Every year the cadets and staff remember the fallen of war.  It is a chance for the cadets to parade through Wigston Town Centre dressed in there number 1 uniform in front of family, friends and local on lookers

The parade starts at 10:30 from outside the Sainsburys in Wigston finishing with at church service at Wigston Church

Fundrasing at Chritmas Capers 

As we operate as an individual charity is it vital that we raise fund for the unit to ensure we can give the best experiance to the cadets. 

Every year we are invited by Wigston council to have a stall at Christmas Capers. The cadets that attend always have a fun day mixing with the everyone at the event.
