Sea Cadets Manchester District

30 March 2026

On Sunday 22nd March cadets from across the Manchester District attended the Sea Cadets North West Area Drill & Piping Competition for 2026. Manchester District entered two teams in the Unarmed Squad Category with cadets from Tameside Sea Cadet Corps, Stockport Sea Cadets Unit, Royal Marines Cadets - Trafford, Sea Cadets Trafford, Manchester Trafalgar Sea Cadets, Salford Sea Cadets, Middleton & Chadderton Sea Cadets.

Our cadets have shown incredible dedication to their training over the past few weeks, and we’re proud to share their outstanding results:

2 Troop Combined Team (Manchester) – 1st Place

Manchester Sea Cadets Team – 2nd Place

We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements. Performing in front of large crowds in a highly competitive environment is no small feat, yet our cadets delivered with confidence, professionalism, and impeccable conduct throughout the day.

Bravo Zulu to all our cadets for their commitment and success!

A huge thank you to our adult volunteers who made today possible. Special recognition goes to Chief Petty Officer (SCC) Luke Norton, District Staff Officer for Drill & Ceremonial, for his leadership, and Probationary Sergeant (SCC) Ryan Knowles, Drill Leader and POC Morrison for their valuable contribution.

A fantastic day for our district!
