From Father Horton.

Dear Chief and Sergeant,

I wanted to write to pass on some of the comments I’ve received from parishioners and guests including the Deputy Lord Lieutenant and the County Chair RBL .
Everyone was incredibly impressed, the comments included how; dignified, smart, respectful, well behaved and polite they were.
I would also add my own compliments to such exemplary Cadets.

Yours aye

A great sunday playing football at Hastings for our cadets competitions were Open Boys (15-18yrs) Open Girls, Junior Boys (12-15yrs) Junior Girls and Young Juniors (10-12)

We managed to play a team in all the competitions and came away with a first in the Young Juniors competition against 6 units we came first in Open girls, unfortunatly for our team to play we needed to borrow a player from another unit so were renegated to last place.  We came  second in Open Boys and joint second with Rye Unit in Junior Boys

Hove and Adur Sea cadets represented Sussex District along with Hastings Sea Cadets against some tough opposition from 6 other districts. All those who enter regardless of position help their unit with points awarded towards our RNP every 2 years. So I personally am very proud of every cadet who turns up to represent us either at District or Area competitions.

That said, we also won some medals.
Junior Cadet Brooke 2nd in Backstroke.
Cadet Wills 3rd Breaststroke.
Able Cadet Carter 3rd Relay, 2nd Freestyle and 1st Backstroke.
