We are currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our dedicated team and fill a variety of roles: -
Instructors: Work directly with our Junior, Senior or Royal Marines Cadets, helping them grow and learn through fun, structured activities. You can go into uniform or wear your own clothes - whatever you prefer!
In addition, we are also looking to fill the following key roles which also form part of our instructor team: -
- Administrative Assistant - support our Officer in Charge for a couple of hours per week/month with some key administrative tasks e.g. keeping the Sea Cadet database up to date with important information.
- Stores Assistant - ensure that uniforms are well cared for, maintained, and that we have an inventory of items to use as our cadets grow and change roles.
- Training Administrative Assistant - co-ordinate cadet training and competitions; create calendars for all training and competitions and make relevant bookings.
Trustees: If you're interested in supporting our unit but instructing is not for you, then you could join our team as a Trustee and work with the Unit Management Team to manage the charity's finances, fundraising, marketing, building and much more!
Some specific vacancies within our Trustee Team are: -
- Vice Chairperson - work alongside our current Chairperson, with a view to taking over as Chair in the future, and assist them to maintain, develop and chair an effective Unit Management Team for the unit.
- Treasurer - manage the unit's finances through keeping up to date and accurate records of income and expenditure.
- Fundraisers - lead on different types of fundraising and play a crucial role in bringing in vital funds for our unit.
