Sea Cadets have teamed up with Love Sports Events to bring you the D2D Sea Cadets Team Challenge in 2021. Make your swim count and fundraise to help the next generation of Sea Cadets - 15,000 young people - throughout the UK strive for a brighter future.
Teams of 3 will swim 1.5km (each). Swimmers will start together and must finish within 60 seconds of each other (time is determined by the final swimmer across the finish line).
Swimmers must be over the age of 12 on the day of the event to participate in the team challenge. Swimmers aged 12-15 will be required to wear a swimsuit and have a tow float with them. Tow floats and wet suits are optional for anyone 16 and older and anyone can go to the event shop and purchase here, use code D2DSCTC-TOW for £4 off.
Team price - £75 + Booking fee - use code D2DSCTC-2021 for £15 off. In addition to the entry fee, every swimmer in the Dock2Dock must be a NOWCA member. This is £15 per person and gives you one year’s membership. Click here to find out more and sign up to NOWCA on the Actio App.
Each swimmer will receive a race bag, swim cap, water bottle, products from our event partners and a finishers medal. Plus, you’ll be fundraising directly for Sea Cadets!
The Dock2Dock ran successfully in 2020 under strict Covid-Safe protocols. It is too early to tell if the same or stricter measures will be introduced but all entrants will be updated regularly in the lead up to the event. Should the event be cancelled in 2021, due to Covid-19 regulations, entries will roll over to the 2022 event.
Each team should set up a fundraising page on GivenGain and commit to a fundraising target of £300.00. All funds raised will go to the Sea Cadets. There is no penalty for not getting to this target but we know you can do it, because you're already setting yourself a challenge by entering.
If you have any questions please email the Events Team, thank you!
