🌊 Ready for the Season: Water Safety Test Complete

A fantastic evening at the unit as our cadets completed their Water Safety Test tonight, showing confidence, awareness, and real maturity throughout.

They also acclimatised to the North Sea, tackling Cold Water Shock training head‑on — learning how to control their breathing and stay calm in those critical first moments if they ever capsize or fall in. Although serious training, the cadets — as always — found time for fun to finish the session on a high. And of course, hot chocolate and biscuits were waiting to warm everyone up and lift morale.

🌊 A Huge Thank You from Filey Sea Cadets & Royal Marines Cadets 🌊

Thanks to months of fundraising and incredible community support, we’ve raised enough to buy our second Trinity 500.

Our 24‑hour Rowathon was a huge part of this success, with cadets, volunteers, families, and supporters giving everything to make it happen.

This boat represents teamwork, belief, and the power of our community. Thank you for helping us reach this milestone.

🌟 Promotion Success! 🌟

A huge well‑done to our three outstanding Able Cadets who have today been promoted to Leading Cadet. Their hard work, commitment, and teamwork have shone through, and this next step is truly deserved.

Bravo Zulu to all three — you make us proud every time you put on the uniform. Onwards and upwards as you lead by example and inspire those following behind.

We’re incredibly proud to share that our Filey Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets have been awarded The Bill Woodfield Trophy 2026. Supporting others, especially helping Bridlington get afloat, is at the heart of who we are, and this award means the world to us. Bravo Zulu to every cadet who made this possible. βš“
