Welcome to Edinburgh Trinity Sea Cadets:

We are one of 6 Sea Cadet units in the Edinburgh District and we are based at 8 Granton Square, Edinburgh.

We are a recognised RYA training centre operating out of Granton Harbour, teaching both power boating and dinghy sailing. We also teach rowing and we're soon to add kayaking to our boating qualifications.

Our boating season runs from April to October and in the winter months, we spend most of our time in the unit teaching a variety of subjects including Seamanship, Communications, First Aid and Drill etc. We take part in a wide range of community events, raise funds for the unit and take part in competitions within the Sea Cadets from District to National level.

We have two sections in the unit, our junior section takes cadets from 10 to 12 years old, at 12 they move up to the senior section until they're 18 years old.

We parade twice a week on a Tuesday and Thursday evening, the unit is open to cadets from 19:00 (7pm) until 21:30 (9.30pm).

If you're interested in joining or want to find out more about us then please get in touch via email at

Thank you.
