Successful Start to 2016

Congratulations to our cadets who yet again triumphed at the Somerset & Dorset District drill competition on February 14th, and will represent the district at the south west area competition on March 5th.

The day before, February 13th, Burnham on Sea & Highbridge Sea Cadets were invited to Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll to hold a recruitment and fundraising stall where the generous customers donated a fantastic £296.10

23/01/2016 - 6th Place at south west area...

3 of our cadets teamed up with cadets from Yeovil and Glastonbury units to represent Somerset and Dorset district at this year's area football competition.

Able Cadets Evans, Harvey and Severe were part of a determined senior girls team, and despite acquiring a number of injuries between them played fiercely and managed to place 6th out of 9 districts.



19/10/2015 Visit from the Captain!

This month Burnham on Sea & Highbridge Sea Cadets welcomed the Captain of the Corps - Capt. Phil Russell RN on a visit to our unit.

He took the time to chat with cadets and staff and have a look at what we get up to. Capt. Russell also unveiled our new Trinity 500 rowing boat, purchased with the help of a legacy from our former chairwoman Hillary Rose.

27/7/2015 - Rewarded for success!!

Burnham on Sea & Highbridge Sea Cadets were rewarded for a years worth of hard work and success with the presentation of a Burgee. 

Burgees are only presented to the top performing units in the country and we've been given 5 in a row!!
