Armed Forces Day

Belfast Eagle took part in the Armed Forces Day parade which took place in Bangor on Saturday 24th June. All cadets and staff turned out very smart and seamanlike looking and did us all proud!

Eagle's New Rowing Instructor!

Well done and many congratulations to PO Owen Kingston who spent last weekend in Newcastle Upon Tyne completing his rowing instructor qualification! Eagle has a number of rowing instructors and Owen is a great addition to the team!

PO Owen Kingston was a cadet himself who made the steady progression into Belfast Eagle's staff team carrying many qualifications with him. BZ Owen!

Level 2 Sailing

3 sailing opportunities were made available to Belfast Eagle for the weekend Saturday 17th - Sunday 18th June allowing the cadets to gain their Level 2 Sailing qualification.

This course ran from Hollywood Yacht Club and the cadets that attended from our unit were Matthew MacLennan, Nathan O'Neill and Nathan Burrows. The boys enjoyed the course and even got the good weather for it! Well done boys!!

Belfast Maritime Festival

The weekend of Friday 16th - Sunday 18th June saw the Belfast Maritime Festival take place which our cadets attended.

The cadets were bucket collecting at the festival to raise funds for district activities. The weather was brilliant for this event making it more enjoyable for all those involved! BZ to all cadets and staff who attended this event

Sub- Mariners Annual Dinner

On Friday 16th June Belfast Eagle put on a 'Guard of Honour' for the NI Submariners Association's annual dinner held at Wellington Park Hotel this year.

The VIP Lady Sylvia Herman MP asked our OIC, LT C Stephenson to also pass on her thanks to all cadets that attended the event. She was impressed by their positive attitudes and 'beautifully turned out' uniforms.

Our affiliated friends, the sub mariners association, again were most grateful for our support and made a donation of £100 to our unit. BZ to all who attended this event
