Whitley Bay Sea Cadets was established in 1943.  Our unit name is TS Whitley, and our unit number is 361. We were given this prestigious title by the Sea Cadets, after the Second World War ship HMS Whitley.

The unit motto is facta non verba which means deeds not words.

We currently have 33 cadets (10-18 yrs) and at the moment there is no waiting list to join. We have 10 members of staff.

Our biennial inspection in May 2014 resulted in being awarded with a burgee. Please see our news page to find out more.
