As a Sea Cadet you will test your talents and stamina and develop new skills to give you a head start in life. You will also get the chance to make new friends and have fun.
You can join us as a cadet if you are 10-18. Visit the main Sea Cadet site to see a full range of what's on offer.
At Training Ship CHALLENGER (the ship's name for Wandsworth, Chelsea and Fulham Sea Cadets) boating is at the centre of everything we do.
We will train you to Royal Yachting Association standards in powerboating and sailing, to British Canoe Union standards with our kayaks. These are skills and qualifications that are recognised worldwide.
We participate in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme and instruct in supporting skills, such as, engineering, first aid, radio communications and ceremonial drill.
If you are over 14 there is the opportunity to train as a diver (British Sub Aqua Club). When you are over 16 you have the unique opportunity through CVQO (Cadet Vocational Qualification Office) to obtain a BTEC First Diploma in Public Services – the equivalent of four GCSEs at grade A-C.
