TS Canonteign Sea Cadets sent a team of adult instructors, assistants and Cadets to support the recent Teignmouth Town Council's "Queens 90th Birthday Picnic on the Den". Local Sea Cadets are developing an extension to their community "Harbour Patrol" project to assist organisers of local events with a support team of helpers covering areas such as First Aid, marshalling etc. using the skills and experience of adult members with backgrounds in both the armed forces and emergency services. Community projects allow Sea Cadets to us to use their experience and training, enhanced by professional development training within the Corps. The Unit is looking to recruit more adult Staff and Cadets as one of the first Sea Cadet Units to be recognised under the Governments "Cadet Expansion Programme" in partnership with Teignmouth Community School. If you are interested in joining as either a Cadet or adult staff member, ranging from Trustee, Unit Assistant, Civilian Instructor to full Uniformed Trainer, or you may wish to support our work by donating financially to the Unit, please contact us, what ever you can offer will be gratefully received.
