This weekend Junior Sea Cadets from Swansea embarked on an Adventure Training weekend held in Ammanford. The young cadets between 10 - 12 years of age undertook an expedition by foot and learnt some of the essential skills for surviving in these conditions including map reading, building a shelter and expedition cooking. This was the result of weeks of classroom based training leading up towards the expedition and it is clear to see that it has all paid off.

Opportunities such as these are very rare for cadets of this age, but this group stepped up to the mark and did incredibly well in all aspects. We have received some fantastic feedback from all the cadets involved and another training weekend is being planned and will hopefully go ahead shortly.
