Sittingbourne Sea Cadets are a registered 'Educational Youth Charity' affiliated to our parent charity the Marine Society and Sea Cadets.

We are open to young people aged 10 to 17. Who are interested in developing life skills. Using adventurous activities, with a maritime theme based on customs and traditions of the Royal Navy.

You can find us at Crown Quay Lane, Sittingbourne Kent ME10 2SN

The unit is run by a committee of Trustees who are resonsible for the units activities and ensuring it complies with all areas of legislation and Sea Cadet Regulations. The day to day operation of the unit is the responsibility of the Commanding Officer and through him the adult volunteer staff.

Parade times are

Mondays 19.15 (7.15pm) to 21.30 (9.30pm) Juniors & Bluejackets

Wednesdays 19.15 (7.15pm) to 21.30 (9.30pm) Bluejackets only

Cadets pay a monthly subscription of £10 (£5 Junior Cadets) to help cover the cost of running the Unit (this is paid by standing order). The charity is not funded directly by the MOD or any other government body. As an independent charity it raises most of it's money through fundraising events, donations, legacies and grants. We rely on the support of individuals and organisations who see the value of the work we do and are awlays looking for further support to provide opportunities for the young people of Sittingbourne and the surrounding area that they deserve.
