Our unit started life in the early 1700's as a boatbuilders yard where boats were wheeled through open doors at one end of the unit, fixed and then wheeled out through another set of doors at the other end.

When Rye Sea Cadets moved into the building in the early 1950's it was vbirtually derelict and much work had to be done to bring it upto standard.  The building still requires considerable maintenance and this eats away at our funds.
