As a Sea Cadet you will test your talents and stamina and develop new skills to give you a head start in life. You will also get the chance to make new friends and have fun.

We have been at this present site for over 50 years. Alterations have been made and an extension added but we are now about to embark on a major building project to cater for the growing number of cadets and to improve the facilities available.

Poole Sea Cadets is one of the top-performing Units in the UK. We are a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Boating Station, which gives us the opportunity to teach cadets in various forms of water-bourne activities.

Junior Cadets 10-12

This is about having fun and making friends. You'll take part in lots of events and activities like sailing, powerboating & rowing, plus learn about first aid and seamanship skills

Sea Cadets 12-18

Get to grips with subjects both on water and land as part of basic training, all on a nautical theme. You can take part in courses and competitions ranging from rock climbing and shooting to music, power boating and sailing. These can give you a head start in life and boost your confidence, plus it's good fun.

Unit Band

The Band is open to all cadets, regardless of musical ability. There a number of sections in the band including, Brass, Woodwind, Drums, Bell Lyres and more. The Band represents the unit at many events locally and within Southern Area.

The Band currently holds the title of Southern Area contest class champions awiting the natinal finals later this year.
