LAND BASED ACTIVITIES

Cadets have great fun with adventure training, going on expeditions, hill walking and treks that test navigation and endurance skills. You'll learn about camp craft; how to pitch a tent and cook outdoors, and some expeditions offer rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking and kayaking.

There's also training in weapon handling and safety which takes place on military sites and is supervised by highly skilled Instructors. And there are target shooting competitions throughout the UK you can compete in.

Drill, Piping and Music are traditional activities cadets take pride in and there are competitions and ceremonial events across the country which range from local fetes, carnivals and fundraising events to national events like Trafalgar Day Parade in London.

We also offer the chance to study for marine engineering at BTEC level, First Aid (St John Ambulance), seamanship, meteorology, radio comms and cookery. Speak to your local unit to see what they can offer.
