Festival in The Walks - 5th July -

The 2015 King's Lynn Sea Cadet Festival took place on the 5th July in the Walks, Kings Lynn, Norfolk. There was live music, trade and charity stalls, catering stalls and fairground rides. Arena events, included displays by the Cadets, a dog agility group, dance group, riding for the disabled, kickboxing and more. It proved to be a successful day, dispite the disappointing weather at the outset.

TS John Jerwood and TS Jack Petchey are two training ships for the

Sea Cadet Corps and are used as part of the training programme

for twelve to eighteen year olds. They sail around the coast of Britain

and sometimes call at ports on the French coast. Each vessel can

accommodate up to twelve cadets and two instructors, giving the

cadets a great opportunity to sample life at sea through a range

of activities based on seamanship and maritime skills
