Fundraising for your local unit

Fundraise for your local unit

We’re so excited that you’ve decided to raise vital funds for your local Sea Cadet unit. All you need to do now is pick a winning idea!

‘Rowathon’

Ever wanted to row or sail the world but can’t think of way how? Then do it in your local gym! Give yourself a deadline to complete the distance and get sponsored.

Last year thousands of Sea Cadets were rowing on the water and in a gym to collectively row the world to raise money for their new flagship! This year, they were sailing around the UK to raise money for their unit.

Bag packing!

Spend an afternoon at your local supermarket offering customers to pack their bags in exchange for a donation. Lots of small donations add up to hundreds of pounds!

Sailing regatta

If you love sailing, why not organise a sailing race for you and your friends. Borrow boats from a boating station or a sailing club, and race your friends on the local water. Ask everyone who’s taking part to make a donation or ask for sponsorship for every mile you sail!

EASYFUNDRAISING.ORG.UK

We’ve teamed up with easyfundraising to give all of our units nationwide the opportunity to raise funds - simply through shopping online. easyfundraising is the UK’s biggest retail fundraising platform connecting over 1 million supporters with 85,000 good causes.

It works like this..

Whenever unit supporters shop online, they log in to easyfundraising first and select the retailer they want to shop with. Then they simply shop as normal with any one of 3,000 retailers. All the prices are exactly the same…once the supporter has paid for their shopping, the retailer will give a free donation back to the unit they support! Easy!

Visit sea-cadets.easyfundraising.org.uk and click “Register” to sign up your unit. Simply follow the steps, there are no personal questions – it takes a matter of minutes and is completely FREE!
