As an independent charity, but part of the national Sea Cadets, your support is vital to us.

We rely on the goodwill of our local community and businesses for financial support.

Sea Cadets welcome donations, large or small which can help provide opportunities for our cadets. Your donation can go straight to our Unit or via our branch teams which support lots of Units in a particular region or area. Or you can become a member of the national charity from just £25 a year.

A donation can:

  • - £20 will pay for a life jacket
  • - £50 can help pay for the heating of a unit
  • - £100 will pay for a new set of oars for a pulling boat
  • - £250 will send a Sea Cadet on a week's trip on flagship TS Royalist
  • - £1000 will help make vital health and safety upgrades for a Unit
  • - £2500 will buy a new boat for a unit - which will have a useful life of at least 25 years, serving hundreds and hundreds of cadets.

We welcome larger Corporate donations too and if you would like to find out more about how you can fund the work of the charity nationally please visit:

The units major fundraising event at the South of England Showground at Ardingly will take place over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd July.

The cadets and staff work extremely hard marshalling the car parking and selling programmes as well as shaking a few tins at the Ardingly Small Holders Show

This year we hope the weather will look upon us favourably so we can make it a great year for unit funds.

In the past years we have managed to raise just over £1,000 through the collections and programs and it is our major fund raising event for the Unit;

Hopefully we will see you there.

Captain (SCC) Darren Erb-Smith RMR
Commanding Officer

Royal Naval Association

The cadets and staff were out on Saturday 4th June collecting on behalf of the Royal Naval Association. Due to the efforts and the amount raised the RNA has donated £250 to the Unit. BZ to all involved.

London to Brighton Veteran Car Run

This year we will be selling programs in Regents Street, London on Saturday 5th November 2016. Regents Street is closed off to vehicular traffic and there will be in the region of 300 vintage vehicles.

We will also be selling programs on Sunday 6th November in Crawley High Street and the route from Hooley to Handcross Hill. For every program we sell a donation of £1.50 is made to the Sea Cadets. We would really like any support that parents can offer on either day.
