Royal Marines Cadets (RMC) are part of the Sea Cadet Corps.
Operating in Detachments based within Sea Cadet units, 117 RMC detachments exist across the UK, Channel Islands, Malta and the Falkland Islands.
To join a Detachment you need to be 13 and can stay on till you reach 18, at which point you can think about whether you might want to be a volunteer. You can then teach what you have learnt to the youngsters coming up through the ranks. Although our cadets range from 13-18, we tend to stop recruiting at 16. Our advice would be for you to contact the Royal Marines reserves (Bristol)
“The training we offer is transferable to your place of work or education. It’s about discipline, about taking with you our ethos and Corps values and applying them to everyday life with courage, determination and humility. And doing it with a sense of humour and a smile or two along the way!”
