Two New leading Cadets For DIDO

a big well done to both kirkham and Munro on passing the leading cadets board last weekend the both said it was really enjoyable and the experience will help them in latter life both of the cadets are looking at path in the royal navy one as an officer and the other as a rating both are currently working on the GCSE's and looking to study engineering at bury sixth for college, the staff from the unit wish them ever possible luck on POC training and board ans wish them luck with the futures BZ!

70th anniversary

This year is the 70th! year that Bolton has been open we date back to 1942 were the town of Bolton raised £1M to build HMS dido

Two new Able cadets for Dido

the unit has seen two ordinary cadets pass the able cadet tests with flying colours the to females Kirk and Tillotson are now looking forward to training for the leading cadets bored and hope to be leading cadets by the end of the year! we wish them very good luck and hope they enjoy it well done to both! BZ!

The unit has had it yearly inspection last Wednesday evening all the cadets turned out in there number ones for the RNP parents,friends and family attend also to support the unit, the general salute was taken by Cdr (scc) RNR evens the SSO North West who stood in-place for LT Col daves RM who was unable to attend the night went without incident to place on the perfect show as the cadets presented a presentation to the SSO and district team form NorElancs, The cadets said "we have really enjoyed the evening the was a little pressure from everybody being here but it was really exciting and we hope that everybody liked it" the unit would like to thank all those that attended and also those that support the unit and hope that everybody enjoyed the presentation of the past year. there will be images to follow soon on the events section!

On Sunday the 18th cadet form Bolton attend the district drill and piping competition at Middleton and Chatterton sea cadet unit the unit come second overall in the piping and we hope to enter to area on the 18th of march with the piping team and also the contest class drill team a big thank you and well done to all that attended.

Five cadets recently attend two weekends at stratified unit in manchester, the course was the seamanship rope-work and rigging course, the cadet said "the week was really enjoyable and wes challenging, we are looking forward to goining to HMS raleigh for our first class" all cadets passed with flying clours and O/C kirk finished on top of the two weekends and is hopeing to attend her first class very soon and well done to all that attend BZ!
