REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE

This year, Bollington & Macclesfield unit joined the Royal British Legion, local civic leaders, Army and Air Cadet service groups and other youth groups to commemorate Remembrance Sunday, when the fallen and wounded from two World Wars and a multitude of conflicts since are remembered. The parade marched from Macclesfield Town Hall to the War Memorial on Park Green, where two minutes silence was observed, before the laying of wreaths, followed by a short service. The parade then formed up again and marched back to the Town Hall, where the salute was taken by the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire.

2011 BURGEE

2011 BURGEE

Well, we've done it again!!!

Bollington has achieved it's 4th consecutive Burgee award - the top award in the Annual Royal Naval Inspection cycle. It takes a lot of very hard work and dedication on the part of the Staff, Committee and Cadets to achieve this level. 2011 is particularly special in that we significantly improved our 'score' over previous years, showing 'continuous improvement'. The only trouble is, we now have to maintain that momentum!

My sincere congratulations to everyone at the unit for achiving this years 'special' Burgee and thanks to all the parents for their support.

Lt. (SCC) David Thickett RNR

Commanding Officer.
