About Our Unit

The Barrow in Furness Unit welcomes boys and girls aged 10 to 17.

We currently operate a boys and girls section for the sailors aged 12 to 17 and a boys and girls section for the Marine Cadet Detachment aged 13 to 17.

The Junior Section for boys and girls aged 10 and 11 operates on a Friday only from 1800 to 1945hrs.

We also have a drum and bugle band which practices every Thursday from 1900 to 2030hrs.  This is open to all cadets.

The unit currently has over 40 boys and girls attending regularly.

In 2012 the Barrow Unit will celebrate its 80th Anniversary.

The Unit Headquarters Building
