Generally the unit meets twice weekly on a Tuesday and Thursday Evening starting at approx 1845 (6:45 pm) and finishing at 2100 (9:00 pm). Most cadets arrive at the unit between 1815 (6:15pm) and 1830 (6:30 pm) to help set up for the evenings activities. The unit finishes at 2100 (9:00 pm) prompt and parents are expected to make arrangements for their children to be transported home.

CADETS ARE EXPECTED TO BE COLLECTED FROM THE UNIT HEADQUARTERS AND WE CANNOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CADETS ONCE THEY HAVE LEFT THE UNIT GROUNDS.

Other than our Tuesday and Thursday Parade nights we have regular out of routine activities which are tailored to individual cadet groups. These are mainly voluntary, however all members of the unit are expected to attend the following two annual compulsory events:-

  • Remembrance Parade – Held in Loughborough on the nearest Sunday Morning to 11 November.
  • Annual Royal Naval Parade (RNP) – Held at the Unit on a parade night.

All of these events are open to parents and supporters and are of extreme importance to the unit. If cadets are unable to attend these parades a request for leave must be submitted in advance to the Commanding Officer.

The unit operates throughout the year except for a shutdown for the Christmas and New Year period.

Other “voluntary” events and activities are regularly organised and times and arrangements will be publicised to cadets in advance. If there are any doubts please contact the unit to verify details
