As a Sea Cadet you will test your talents and stamina and develop new skills to give you a head start in life. You will also get the chance to make new friends and have fun.

You can join us as a cadet if you are aged 10-18.

The 2015 Coventry Sea Cadet Unit is based at Crescent Avenue in Binley on the former Marconi site. It has almost 100 male and female cadets aged 10 to 18 and 25 adult instructors drawn from all over the city and surrounding areas. Everybody participates in the large range of activities on offer. These include sailing, powerboating, paddlesports, rowing, windsurfing, swimming, expedition training including the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, rock climbing, mountain biking, BTEC, first aid, seamanship, cooking, communications, target shooting and many more. Cadets also have the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications in many of these subjects. The unit regularly wins major trophies and awards at local and national level and has again been awarded an ‘Efficiency Burgee’ from the Royal Navy after an outstanding inspection of our facilities and training regimes.

Visit the 'Picture Gallery' to see a sample of the activities we can offer.
